that's what i love about sundays..

It’s the perfect Sunday morning. Brisk breeze through the house, Starbucks latte in hand, computer on my lap, 85lb dog snuggled up against me, no wedding/bachelorette hang over in sight, RC still in bed nursing a hangover from a GNO (guys night out) and I have about 2 hours until the never ending football coverage begins. Hallelujah! I’ve been daydreaming about this Sunday for a while.
I've recently started drinking Pumpkin Spice Lattes and I love them! Here's the big secret that nobody tells you- IT DOESNT TASTE LIKE PUMPKIN!
Figured it was time I talk about our wedding! With all of the weddings we’ve been attending it’s been hard to really get excited or concentrate on ours… never mind start planning. We did set a date- September 21, 2013 in Charleston, SC! It took a little time and research to decide on Charleston and it wasn’t easy but we’re so excited about it. When RC and I talk about what we want our wedding to be like the one thing we always say is that we want people to have fun.  Then when I think about our wedding, What I want is that people to want to be there. I know that sounds weird but I don’t want anyone to feel obligated to travel, to send a gift, to be there, etc. Beyond that- I don’t want to be that girl who talks about her wedding incisively and forgets how to be a normal person/friend during the planning process. I'll probably write about it a lot (sorry!).. a girls got to vent! Is that all too much to ask?!
So come along with me on my thought process.. My thought was that if our wedding was in Baltimore it would give me even more of a reason/excuse to obsess over it. My hope is that if we have our wedding in a different city it would help keep me removed enough to enjoy the process and to always remember what the wedding is all about. Ya know- that whole love and being with someone for the rest of your life thing. We’ve all heard of weddings that turn into a circus/parade/drama-fest and that is the last thing we want. RC and I would be happy getting married in a courthouse but we also want to celebrate with our families and friends and enjoy this huge milestone in life. And if I’m being honest, I really want a pretty dress.

As for the venue, we chose the Carriage House at Magnolia Gardens and Plantation! Here are a few pics I took while I was there:
Ashley River and big oak tree on the left top, top right is the inside of the Carriage house and bottom is the outside

this is the carriage house!

Ashely River and huge lawn area!

big Ol' Oak tree with some Spanish Moss where the ceremony will be!

Patio with fire pit!

I love Charleston and really think that it will help with the laid back feel we want for our wedding. So do you WANT to come to our wedding?
the monkey just wants in invite..
