moving shmoving

Move #1 is COMPLETE. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I hated it. Hated it more than I hate Ke$ha, bedazzled jeans and the taste of salmon. In fact, I would rather be forced to eat salmon, while wearing bedazzled jeans and listening to Ke$ha before I would do that again by ourselves. Do you understand what I’m saying? It was HORRIBLE. How two people can have so much stuff in a little 900 sq ft apartment is mind boggling. Two and a half years of life jammed into two walk in closets, it’s truly amazing.
It took us all day Friday and all day on Saturday to finish everything and that’s even after making nightly trips for a week! I can’t even imagine having to do that in one day, I think I would have hurt someone and that someone would have more than likely being RC. So I’m glad that didn’t happen, I still like him and need him around to move everything into the house next week.
Don’t get me wrong, we did have some laughs while packing so I thought it would be fun to play a game that I just made up called, “WHO SAID WHAT?!”

So take your best guess, who do you think said the question and statement below?!
“Why do you own red leather pants?”
“But they’re real leather, they’re worth something. Let’s sell them to consignment”
I’ll give you a hint, the person who owns the pants looks like this..

Yup, that’s right people. It wasn’t me! RC walked out in a pair of red leather pants that made me almost die of laughter. I honestly was laughing so hard that I couldn’t even get my phone or camera out fast enough to take a picture. Who is this guy and why did I just buy a house with him?! I didn’t ask any questions about why he had them or how long he has had them but the fact that they still fit was upsetting and not a good sign.
Besides the red leather pants, everything else was the same ol’ stuff you would expect from moving. Way too much stuff, not enough boxes and not enough space to store things. Standard moving issues. Our storage unit is packed like a jig saw puzzle. It’s a good thing I played Tetris as a kid because it came in handy!!! We fit just about everything we needed to fit; it took two people (RC and his friend) to hold the mattress in the unit while I closed the door! We had to store RC’s wardrobe at a friend’s house but other than that and all the clothes and random stuff we have with us, our whole life is in a tin box!
everything but the couches, matress and box spring.

I was definitely sad when we left, it was our first place together and the only home Tuck has ever known but it’s time for our next chapter! We’re currently living with RC’s parents and it has been great! Tucker is enjoying all of the attention and treats and we're enjoying all of the attention and food too. weird.  We’re on a tentative schedule to move in Saturday the 14th.. that’s if the stars align so pleaaassseee cross your fingers for us!

sadness of an empty 209.
