this shhh is bananas

RC and I went over to the house to meet Joe and Josh from Shultz development. They said they wanted to go over the layout because the framing team was working on the upstairs so when I arrived I expected not to see much progress. Boy was I wrong! The entire upstairs is almost 100% framed! You can actually start to see how big each bedroom/bathroom/closet is going to be. Its bananas. It was pitch black when we got there and even with the minimal flashlight light it looked like a different house. Sure, it doubled in size and we got rid of the awkward bedroom with no window but even beyond that it felt so different! I brought a different camera with me and it seems like my cheap(er) point and shoot takes better pictures are night.. fine, I can’t figure out the DSLR at night. Whatever.

In order to really be able to explain what everything is, I had to use paint. Shocker. BUT before I get to explaining the layout of the house, look what they did.. they took down the back wall of the old house! It’s gone! Now you can really see how big/long the house is!! (NOTE: I get to say IS not “going to be”!! ahhh little things in life). The white arrows point to the old wall and the opening in the floor that is between the old house and new house. Our guests will just have to jump over it when they come to visit. Not THAT big of a deal, right? Kidding, that will be covered once they put down all the subfloor/hardwood.

smile, josh!

the other side of those arrows will be the kitchen

I'm standing near the front door looking toward the back of the house
see i told you. bananas. Now on to upstairs! This picture is of me standing in the kitchen on the first floor looking up to the front bedroom on the second floor. In the future thats where the stairs will be. The RED is the bathroom in the bedroom, the YELLOW is the hallway linen closet (yeah, we added that!) and the PURPLE is the landing/hallway

Then if we were to walk into the front bedroom and look into the bathroom this is what it would look like. To the right of the RED line will be the closet and to the left the bathroom. Above the top red line are the stairs
.

Then the front bedroom closet will look like this. Since we wanted a tub in the front bathroom they had to break the one big bedroom closet into two closets so now we'll have a linen closet in the hallway which, to be honest, is 150% fine by me!! Check it out, YELLOW is bedroom closet, GREEN is bedroom doorway and RED is hallway linen closet.

Moving into the master bedroom at the back of the house, you will see RC standing in the entrance/hallway inside the master bedroom. Joe is standing in the doorway to the bedroom (GREEN lines), RC is staring at the closet (RED) and the bathroom is behind/to the right of the closet (YELLOW).
will someone turn the heat up?!
Another look, Josh and RC are standing in the bathroom (YELLOW) with the closet on the left (RED) and I'm standing in the bedroom.

We’ll have a little entrance way into our bedroom, with closet along one side (in RED).

What do you think? are you starting to see the vision? Are my color codes helping?! Not gonna lie, even when I first looked at these pictures they were confusing! Hope you like it!
